What are your winter fashions must-have's for kids and moms?
New rain boots or wellies are a must because puddles are such fun to jump into! A new warm hoody is a must for my daughter Olivia. I found one from a local Los Angeles line called So So Happy. The windy season and cold weather leave my hands a bit dry so I love to refresh my hands with Klean Spa extreme moisture lotion in very vanilla. A twirl dress for Faith, my kindergartner who has extra sensitive skin and loves our soft Modal dresses! And a great bright new coat for me!!

How did you begin your brand TWIRLS & TWIGS?
After 10+ years working as a designer for a large clothing manufacturers, my husband encouraged me to start my own company. Inspired by my 2 beautiful daughters, I created Twirls and Twigs. I wanted the freedom to create a unique, bold twirl dress for my daughters. Wanting to create clothing that was soft and bright, Twirls and Twigs began with soy and organic cottons. It was the designer leftovers that really were the magical moment for us, the mixing of leftover designer fabrics created the unique whimsical collection that Twirls and Twigs is today.

What is the inspiration for your upcoming spring collection?
It inspired me to see past my life here in Los Angeles and envision Twirls and Twigs around the globe. So we took a romantic trip to Paris, danced to our own beat in Kenya, and enjoyed the English Countryside then mixed it all together for a truly magical adventure called "Journey the globe".

We love the eco-friendly aspect to the line - what are some of your other favorite eco-brands?
As a mom I try to keep my daughters future in the front of my mind and make choices to support that future. Whether it is buying organic produce, sustainable sheets, products produced locally or my absolute favorite cleaning products Begley's Best.

As a mom and designer/owner of TWIRLS & TWIGS, any tips for other working moms?
Create special time with your kids. Time goes by so quickly and life happens. Faith and I love having tea parties in my closet with all my shoes, it makes for silly fun. Olivia is becoming a tween and she needs special time to share all her new ideas with me. We have petite beauty parties in the bathroom once a week, sometimes it will be nail makeovers and last night it was facials! I also try to keep my girls involved with the many happenings of Twirls and Twigs. I grew up helping my dad with his business so I enjoy having the girls share in our photo shoots, design sessions, and even the shows!
